Greetings bluebird families,

This week the bluebirds did an exploration on planting and gardening. We read the books, “The Tiny Seed” by Eric Carle and “Plant the Tiny Seed” by Christine Matheson to help guide us on our planting journey! We talked about the importance of water, sunlight, and soil for plant growth.

No better way to learn about a seed’s growth, than to plant it yourself! The bluebirds planted their very own wheatgrass seeds, watching its different stages of growth day to day. This activity helps them learn what it takes to tend to and nurture a garden as well as build on their overall empathy for the environment!

The bluebirds were also busy this week learning about and celebrating Passover. They helped make a traditional dish called charroset and participated in a reenactment of the story of Passover!

Early Easter fun!

Alas, the sun is out and the bluebirds are loving it!

I hope you all have a lovely Spring break! A big thank you to Erin for coming in to help with Passover cooking! See you when we return for school on Monday April 29th.

Warmly,

Corrine
