Dear Parents,

We hope everyone is settling into the new year/decade and excited the never-ending month of January is over!

If you haven’t yet, take a moment to read the February Director’s Note. Along with some notable calendar items, Deb addresses the importance of gratitude. A helpful reminder for all of us.

UPCOMING SCHOOL EVENTS AND IMPORTANT DATES

  • Tuesday, February 4th: Parent Coffee at 9:15am. The topic for the Parent Coffee is early literacy. The coffee will be hosted by Mrs. Anaya. We hope you can join us!
  • Thursday, February 13th: Last day to bring your child’s Valentines to school. Please bring your child’s Valentines to school in a zip lock bag or with a rubber band around them, clearly labeled with your child’s name on the outside of the bag. Please do not address each Valentine. Simply have your child sign the cards, if they can write their name and wish to do so. Placing a picture of your child on each card is a fun non-stressful option as well. Cards should be small and simple with no candy please. The number of Valentines to bring:
      • Bluebirds and Redbirds: 14 Valentines;
      • Owls and Penguins: 17 Valentines;
      • Eagles and Hawks: 19 Valentines;
      • Sea Lions: 21 Valentines.
  • Friday, February 14th: Valentine’s Day Party – students and teachers only
  • February 17th-21st: Winter Break, no school.
  • Monday, February 24th: School resumes.

CHILDREN’S THEATER ASSOCIATION OF SAN FRANCISCO – The Wizard of Oz

The Children’s Theatre Association of San Francisco (CTA) was established in 1934 as an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to providing live musical theatre for school children in the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly for those who might not otherwise experience it. Children’s Theatre Association of San Francisco proudly presents The Wizard of Oz for the 2019-2020 season. Performances this year are at the Presidio Theatre at 99 Moraga Ave. Tickets are on sale for all weekends of February and the first weekend of March.

Happy February! Thank you to our amazing community of parents and teachers for making Calvary such a wonderful place.

And, as always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.

Warm regards,

Caroline Jackson and Bailey Flynn
