On Monday, Leela shared her story about spending the weekend with Penny and Pipi. Leela, Penni and Pipi brought us a special treat, Oatmeal Cherry Cookies, which we all definitely enjoyed! Thank you Leela!
We also acted out the book Caps For Sale by Esphyr Slobodkina. Mrs. Ball (who was visiting us on Monday) picked a peddler and the rest were silly monkeys. We incorporate different ways to enjoy and embrace literacy.
We’ve enjoyed Lunar New Year crafts and sensory activities.
On Thursday, the Owl and the Penguin classes joined to make fried rice. All the children enjoyed chopping, grating ginger, sautéing vegetables and adding other ingredients. We all had a polite bite, but most of us ate it all up. Thank you Tamara for helping out!
We’ve had some wet and dry weather, so the basement is also a fun place we go to due to weather.
A few reminders:
-Please send art bags back with your children before next Friday.
-Valentine Day instructions for cards are in Director’s Note.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly, Miss Sonia
